Privacy & your data
What this site stores, what it never collects, and how to remove your data — describing the site as it runs today.
What we store
- Nothing while you browse. No account, no sign-up, no tracking scripts, no advertising cookies, and no third-party analytics.
- One cookie, and only when you finish a test. Submitting a test sets a cookie named "osid" holding a random ID, so this browser can find your results again. Our server keeps only a scrambled (hashed) copy of that ID, never the ID itself. The cookie can stay for up to a year; your browser can delete it sooner.
- When you finish a test, we save the answers you gave and the result worked out from them on our server, linked to that anonymous ID. Only this browser can open those results.
- A campaign tag, if your link had one. If the link you followed to a test carried a tag such as "?src=…", that tag is saved with your result and with the counts below. It records which link you came from, nothing about you.
- Unfinished tests are kept only in this browser's local storage, never on our server. You can clear them on the test page.
- Search: what you type in search is not saved or logged anywhere.
- Counts: we count, per test, when its answer page is opened, when a test is completed, and when a result is viewed, together with the campaign tag if there was one. These counts carry no ID, no answers and no search text.
- How long results stay: we keep saved results until you delete them below — there is no automatic expiry. If you clear your cookies, or switch browser or device, the anonymous ID is gone and your saved results can no longer be opened or deleted by you.
- Abuse limits: to slow down automated abuse, the server briefly counts submissions per network address in its memory only. This is never written to disk and is not linked to your results.
